One of the great things about the Okinawan Festival is that it is organized and staffed almost entirely by volunteers. Annually, more than 3,000 volunteers donate their unique skills and services to make the Festival possible.

1:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Delivery: 50+ people - Assist booths with their deliveries from the docks and elevator areas; signage set up. Heavy lifting involved.

VOLUNTEER POSITIONS /
FOOD SALES | 10-20 PEOPLE NEEDED PER SHIFT
We need help at 3 different Food Booths on both days, afternoon shifts.
FOOD COOKING | MULTIPLE PEOPLE NEEDED PER SHIFT
We need help in the kitchen on both days
ADMISSIONS BOOTH | 10-20 PEOPLE NEEDED PER SHIFT
We need help on both days , morning (priority) and afternoon shifts.
GREETERS | 20 PEOPLE NEEDED PER SHIFT
Provide a friendly face to greet the festival attendees (AM and PM shifts on both days). Volunteers need to be positioned for giving directions and reminders for safety (i.e.: no strollers or bulky items on the escalators, no coolers, no chairs, no pets) by the escalators, lobby, elevators, or otherwise directed.
PROGRAM CREW | 6 PEOPLE NEEDED PER SHIFT
Assist with staging, runners, dressing room assistants, etc.
HUOA ASSISTANCE | 5-10 PEOPLE NEEDED PER SHIFT
Help out in the HUOA room with displays and gift shop sales (various items on sale to help benefit HOC).
SURVEY TAKERS | 20 PEOPLE NEEDED PER SHIFT
Assist with the festival attendee survey takers asking few questions to collect data for the festival (afternoon shifts only).
with CDL license for trucks to haul back to Hawaii Okinawa Center on Sunday after clean up.
