Early Admission gives you an entire hour (9:00am to 10:00am) to explore and shop at the Okinawan Festival before General Admission attendees are allowed into the Exhibit Hall. This means less crowds and shorter lines for food, as well as first dibs on purchasing festival favorites like official Okinawan Festival themed t-shirts and other popular products that sell out quickly.
Note: Early Admission does not guarantee the availability of parking at the Hawaii Convention Center. The parking lot tends to get full by 9:30am, so we recommend coming early.
NEW for 2025: Those with Early Admission tickets will be able to purchase festival scrip in the first floor main lobby prior to doors opening.

Holding the festival in the Hawaii Convention Center has many benefits like air conditioning, lots of clean bathrooms, level flooring for kupuna, ample space, and protection from bad weather.
Charging an admission fee helps to offset the cost of holding the festival at the Hawaii Convention Center. We appreciate your understanding and continued support for this community celebration of all things Okinawan.
Proceeds from the Okinawan Festival go to support the Hawaii United Okinawa Association (HUOA), including the following programs:
Hawaii-Okinawa High School Student Exchange Program
Senior Fair
Children’s Day Camp
Various community outreach activities
Facilitating study in Okinawa through various programs
Support for the Hawaii Okinawa Center – HUOA’s home for many different groups to practice cultural arts, hold classes and meetings, host events, and much more etc.
And of course, the Okinawan Festival is a major fundraiser for HUOA’s 50 member clubs
